Job Description Summary Complex Human Resources Manager will have a focus on training and recruitment settings the tone for Sonesta's mission of "Wowing" our guests with Amazing Moments, as well as play a pivotal role in sourcing and recruiting top talent in the industry. This dynamic role will support The Benjamin Royal and The Fifty Sonesta and will provide training to our sister properties as needed. This role plays a crucial part in conducting and presenting Sonesta's comprehensive training programs to enhance employee skills, generate engagement and drive guest satisfaction and organizational success. Job Description Principle duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions) include but are not limited to: Recruitment & Onboarding: Effective recruitment using Sonesta's systems, such as Workday and Phenom, and any other corporate-implemented programs, to attract and hire top talent under the guidance of your direct report. Lead the hiring process, including job posting, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and following up with your direct report regarding hiring decisions. Present and complete engaging onboarding programs to ensure new hires are successfully integrated into the company culture. Training & Development: Conduct Sonesta's recommended mandatory training and running reports to identify development needs across all departments. Present Sonesta's implemented comprehensive training programs, including classroom training, online courses, and workshops. Maintain compliance with all Sonesta training deadlines. Program Delivery & Evaluation: Deliver engaging and effective training sessions. Track the effectiveness of training programs using appropriate metrics and reports. Communicate to your direct report all training programs based on feedback and results. Employee Development: Effective communication and campaign of Sonesta’s learning and development programs promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Employee Relations: Communicate any employee complaints and concerns to your direct report in a timely manner. Maintain positive employee morale and foster a positive and inclusive work environment Participate as needed in other human resources general functions, including but not inclusive to labor/employee relations under the guidance of the Complex Director of Human Resources. Leadership and Support: Motivate employees to ensure exceptional guest service. Communicate with your direct report all employees’ concerns and complaints. Ensure adherence to all safety and sanitation regulations. Qualifications and Skills Professional verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including dealing with difficult guests. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience with Microsoft Office and Other hotel systems preferred. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Ability to stand during the entire shift. Must be flexible to work variable shifts (days and night) of the week to include weekends and holidays. Long hours are sometimes required. Education and Experience Previous experience in the hotel industry preferred. Proficient in computer software and reporting tools. Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 30lbs and stand for extended periods. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and guests. Adherence to all applicable regulations mandated by federal, state, and corporate entities. Must be flexible to work variable shifts (days and nights) of the week to include weekends and holidays. Long hours are sometimes required. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills, and job specific/overall experience.
