Pharmacy Technicians at St. Luke's enjoy opportunities to excel, grow, and be challenged in their careers across our health system in the Treasure Valley, from Boise to Fruitland.
We are seeking a part-time pharmacy technician to work night shifts in our Boise Medical Center
Our Compounding Pharmacies include Medical Center Inpatient, Cancer Institute, and Infusion Center pharmacies.
- Inpatient Pharmacy Techs prepare and compound medications for our admitted patients, deliver throughout the hospital, and prepare pharmaceutical kits - all while working with our nursing staff to meet patients' needs.
- Cancer Institute Pharmacy Techs prepare oncology medications in a cleanroom, purchase medications, and clean and stock the pharmacy.
- Infusion Center Pharmacy Techs assist patients in and out of the clinic, take vitals, and prepare IV medications.
Our Community Pharmacies include Medical Center Retail, Specialty, Home Delivery, and Clinic-based pharmacies.
- Community Pharmacy Technicians prepare and deliver our patients' medications, submit insurance claims, input prescription data, coordinate med-syncing, and assist our patients in person and over the phone.
- Medication Locker Technicians prepare and deliver medications to medication lockers located in St. Luke’s facilities and throughout the community, and communicate with patients when prescriptions are ready for pick up at their convenience.
- Transitions of Care Technicians work with our patients prior to admittance and as they are discharging from the hospital:
- Medication Historian Technicians (MHTs) work with patients, either bedside in-person or from our Virtual Care Center, to review patients' medication histories and obtain up-to-date medication lists from their pharmacies and current providers, reviewing the information for discrepancies. MHTs work closely with pharmacists, providers, nurses, and case management/social work to provide the highest, safest quality of care available.
- Meds-to-Beds Technicians fill take-home medications for our pharmacists to deliver bedside to our patients prior to discharge, which helps with medication adherence and eliminates the need for a stop on their way home.
