We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commissary Chef to oversee our central kitchen operations, responsible for the preparation, assembly, and distribution of food products to our bar and grill locations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail to maintain our standards of excellence.
Job Duties
- Food Preparation: Prepare a variety of menu items according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels of all necessary ingredients and supplies, conducting regular stock assessments, and placing orders as needed to ensure efficient operations.
- Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control measures to uphold food safety standards, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure productivity, efficiency, and adherence to established procedures.
- Production Scheduling: Develop production schedules and workflows to meet the demands of our bar and grill locations, optimizing efficiency while minimizing waste and cost.
- Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality ingredients at competitive prices, negotiating contracts and managing deliveries.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in kitchen operations, implementing best practices to enhance quality, productivity, and profitability.
