Job Details
The Commercial Lines Office Manager oversees the daily operations of the commercial insurance division, ensuring efficient workflow, exceptional client service, and adherence to compliance standards. This role manages administrative functions, supports team members, and collaborates with executives to optimize performance and achieve departmental goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the commercial insurance department, including scheduling, workflow management, and task delegation.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies, implementing process improvements as needed.
Manage and streamline operational procedures to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
Team Supervision:
Lead and mentor a team of commercial account managers, assistants, and administrative staff, providing training and ongoing support.
Conduct performance evaluations, set departmental goals, and support professional development initiatives.
Foster a collaborative, client-focused work environment and resolve any team-related issues.
Client Relationship Management:
Serve as a point of contact for high-profile clients, assisting with complex account management and issue resolution.
Oversee client communications to ensure timely responses to inquiries, renewals, and claims assistance.
Monitor client satisfaction metrics, ensuring service standards are consistently met or exceeded.
Financial & Reporting Oversight:
Assist in budget planning and track departmental expenditures to maintain cost efficiency.
Oversee invoicing, billing accuracy, and payment processing for commercial accounts.
Generate regular reports on team performance, financial metrics, and client retention for senior management review.
Technical Support:
Ensure effective utilization of insurance management software (e.g., EPIC, AMS360), guiding the team in best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with IT support.
Policy & Compliance Management:
Oversee policy processing, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
Stay updated on industry changes, carrier requirements, and coverage options to advise team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, or related field (preferred).
5+ years of experience in commercial insurance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of commercial lines coverages, compliance, and industry regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with insurance software platforms (e.g., EPIC, AMS360) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Licensed in Property & Casualty Insurance (preferred or required per state regulations).
