Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of construction processes. This role requires a proactive individual capable of handling multiple projects and delivering accurate cost estimates to support our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to create comprehensive estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to understand project scope and conditions.
- Identify and evaluate potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing, and industry standards.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and contract negotiations.
- Provide support during the project execution phase to ensure cost control and adherence to budgets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator, preferably in the Atlanta area.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.
- Proficient in estimating software and tools, such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
