JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Responsibilities:
• Ensuring the delivery of timely and accurate Commercial Auto Physical Damage claim handling through the daily oversight of a team of claim examiners
• Providing technical guidance to staff on Commercial Auto claim coverage and liability investigations, damages evaluation, reserving accuracy, and resolution of claims
• Providing consistent coaching and feedback through weekly team huddles, side-by-side sessions, and monthly 1:1 meetings
• Timely and accurate documentation of coaching, feedback, and direction
• Effectively managing the performance management process as needed
• Review and assess team strength and opportunity areas, and build action plans to bring about continued improvement
• Develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external customers
• Provide back-up support to peers as needed
• Present findings and results to leadership team monthly, along with improvement action steps
• Actively participate in committees and projects
• Effectively manage the use of outside vendors
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• High level of expertise in all aspects of Commercial Auto claims adjusting
• Extensive knowledge of contracts, investigation techniques, legal requirements, and regulations
• Capable of identifying obstacles or inefficiencies, analyzing root causes, and problem-solving for them
• Ability to work effectively with key stakeholders across the company
• An aptitude for evaluating, analyzing, and interpreting information
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 7 years of insurance claims experience; Commercial Auto preferred
• 3 years of leadership experience preferred
Current adjuster license in one or more states preferred; willingness to obtain additional state licensure
