Interested in supporting a dynamic Graphics Department? Belmark is currently seeking energetic and motivated Color Specialist to be responsible for color correcting images and art files in Adobe Photoshop,
Adobe Illustrator and ArtPro+. Color accurate files are utilized by the Prepress department to create final print-ready files for Flexographic, Offset and Digital manufacturing operations.

Schedule:
- 1st Shift hours are from 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Monday - Friday
- 2nd Shift hours are from 2:00 p.m. - 12:00a.m.., Monday - Thursday
Pay:
- 1st Shift: $20.50 - $24.00 per Hour
- 2nd Shift: $20.50 - $24.00 per Hour plus a $1.00 shift differential
Summary
Responsible for making color adjustments to customer supplied art files utilizing Adobe, Esko
and GMG software applications. Build files compliant with flexographic, offset and digital press
specifications while delivering high quality color that meets customer expectations.
What will I do in this role?
- Make color adjustments to customer supplied art files to ensure contract proof to press
match that meets customer expectations. - Demonstrate a basic understanding of color management principles that apply to
flexographic, offset and digital printing processes. Understand color theory and the
press characterization process so files are built to proper file requirements based on the
approved customer model (template/material). - Basic understanding of various flexographic screening technologies and how they can
impact separation and print results. - Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail in order to minimize errors and to remain
compliant with department quality standards. - Understand and apply prepress specifications to art files.
- Manage all files in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Review and understand workflows and graphic order layout instructions to determine the
work to be done and sequence of operations. - Manage file work across multiple Business Units (Pressure Sensitive, Web-to-Print®,
Flexible Packaging, Folding Carton). - Interact with other graphics personnel, management, sales, and customer service on a
daily basis. - May generate and output proofs and verify for accuracy.
- Responsible to follow all safety procedures as required by the role, and to nurture a food
safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirements. - May perform other duties as assigned by Color Team Lead.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Proficient with various color software including, but not limited to: Adobe
Photoshop/Illustrator, Esko Automation Engine/ArtPro+, and GMG color management solutions. - Knowledge of flexographic, offset and digital printing is strongly preferred.
- Prefer an understanding of expanded gamut printing and separation techniques.
- Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize the English language.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions.
- Ability to operate a Mac computer
- Ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in both independent and team environments.
- Ability to meet and exceed deadlines.
- Regular attendance is an essential function of the position. May be required to work overtime.
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow detailed written and oral instructions.
- Must be able to communicate and answer questions in a professional and friendly manner.
- Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.

- Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school.
- Ability to: stand for 25% of work time; walk 25% of work time; and sit for 50% of work time.

- Ability to: see clearly at 20 inches or less; identify and distinguish colors; adjust the eye
to bring an object into sharp focus.
