About the Job
Vaco is seeking a Medical Coding Educator for a full time, direct hire role. Travel required in tri-state area. Remote role but must be local.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Coding Education program for physicians and coding specialists.
- Provide ongoing education on ICD-10 and HCC coding for healthcare professionals.
- Conduct training sessions and offer technical support regarding clinical documentation guidelines, charge capture, and coding standards.
- Analyze coding audits and feedback to identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate educational opportunities for direct-care providers to ensure compliance with professional coding requirements.
- Prepare and deliver quarterly and annual updates for the coding team.
- Establish an annual compliance summary based on audit results and provide feedback to providers and practice leadership.
- Stay informed of the latest coding standards and regulations to ensure proper implementation.???????
- Coding Certification (CPC or equivalent) is required.
- E&M (Evaluation and Management) Coding experience is REQUIRED
- 3-4 years of experience in a professional healthcare setting.
- Minimum of 3 years of coding and auditing experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills for group and individual training sessions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to travel to different physician practices for coding education and training.
- EPIC knowledge is a plus.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
