About the Position
The Code Enforcement Officer serves in the Planning and Development Department to communicate with both citizens and staff and help ensure that community standards for land use, rights of way, and buildings are met in a reasonable manner. While local knowledge of codes and properties is important, support in getting up to speed will be gladly provided. The ideal candidate is able to proceed independently much of the time and yet collaborate with others as needed in achieving solutions.

About the Department
The Planning and Development Department is responsible for land use and building permit review and approvals; long-range city and regional planning; building inspection; coordination of development review processes, design standards, and enforcement of the community development code.
