Summary:
Responsible for the short and long-range strategic planning, leadership, management and growth of American Career College. Responsible for maintaining a culture that embodies the school's student-centric mission and values. As Co-President, Business Operations, work in a co-leader model, sharing joint leadership responsibilities with the Co-President, Academics. Together, you will be responsible for driving American Career College's strategic vision, growth, and operational excellence.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Co-President, Academics, develop and implement the strategic plan for American Career College, with a focus on long-term sustainability and continued growth.
- Develop, implement and direct short and long-range goals and objectives, organizational structure, annual budget, capital equipment expenditures and improvements, and other operational and financial initiatives to support overall strategic business goals, vision and mission of the institution. Partner with key stakeholders to grow, strengthen, and ensure sustainability or organization.
- Provides leadership for the development of the financial plan and ensures the fiscal integrity of the college, establishes timelines, provides support to management team, and holds the management team accountable for progress.
- Streamline processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency, quality and compliance.
- Develops internal rapport and credibility with key constituents. Provides a positive influence that guides accountability, meaningful data-driven analysis and healthy debate, with a high expectation of success.
- Develops, plans, implements and administers programs and services as well as establishing policies and procedures, accountability standards, measurements and rewards programs necessary to support the College's departments, staff and students.
- Provides leadership in directing and monitoring areas under charge for production quality, cost effectiveness in resource allocation, and efficiency in operations.
- Ensures that the school's goals, plans, policies, practices and actions produce desired recruitment, retention and placement results.
- Ensures short and long-range marketing initiatives are implemented that will drive the school's efforts to achieve revenue goals by enrolling and developing new students.
- Ensures compliance of all policies, state, federal and local laws/regulations relating to programs, as well as all accreditation requirements.
- Provides oversight of all campus operations, including the optimization of financial performance at each location.
- Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the University's Code of Ethical Conduct, Compliance Agreement, Sexual Harassment Policy or any of its policies and procedures, applicable federal and states laws, and applicable professional standards.
- Maintains confidentiality of all student, associate, and/or college information as required.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Educational Leadership, Finance, Public or Business Administration or related field required.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated success in a strategic senior-level executive position or Chief Operating Officer with responsibilities similar to those outlined above.
- Ability to organize, lead, and foster excellence.
- Ability to demonstrate successful execution of business strategies.
- Ability to provide vision and leadership; implement sound fiscal judgment to advance the University.
- Ability to maintain a strong commitment to openness and consensus building, consistent with the governance among the administration, faculty and staff.
