We are currently seeking a Cloud System Administrator - Senior level to join our team.
Primary Job Duties & Required Experience:
- Cloud Systems Administrator with expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Responsible for managing customer's Cloud infrastructure in support of this customer's mission, ensuring the smooth operation of all systems within the Cloud environment, and leveraging AWS technologies to optimize performance and scalability
- Manage and maintain the customer's cloud infrastructure, including EC2 Instances, networks, and cloud services
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and VPCs
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular security scans and audits to ensure data integrity and protection
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify technical requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, resolving issues in a timely manner Implement best practices for backup, disaster recovery, and system redundancy
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in cloud computing and IT systems administration
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, with a focus on AWS cloud technologies Strong understanding of systems administration concepts, protocols, and security best practices Experience in running security scans using a variety of tools, analyzing the findings, and mitigating those finding associated with the Cloud environment and coordinating with the team for resolution of the remainder
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Experience with a wide variety of Cloud technologies and solutions architectures is a plus (AWS, Google, Azure, Oracle etc)
- Broad understanding of technical principles, theories and concepts in the Systems Administrator field
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art systems engineering principles and cloud design concepts
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash is a plus
- SecDevOps experience with automation experience is preferred
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) preferred but not required
Job Requirements
· Active TS/SCI + Full Scope Poly U.S. Government Security is required
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
· 6-10 years of relevant professional work experience required
· Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
· Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to network and establish professional relationships
· Ability to prioritize, demonstrated strong organizational skills, and ability to meet or exceed deadlines
Physical Demands: Position will require frequent sitting, standing, and/or mobility within an office setting. Employee must be able to use hands to complete work at a workstation/computer, be able to reach, type and manipulate with hands, fingers, and arms; lift and/or move up to 20 pounds; talk, see and hear.
Work Environment: Work is performed on client site in a professional office environment with moderate stress and noise levels. Position requires employee to effectively use a computer, potentially for long periods of time, and to accommodate potentially frequent interruptions. Candidate should be both customer-focused and present a team approach to overall work.
Schedule: Business core hours are Monday through Friday, from 8am – 4pm ET. Standard work hours may vary for this position based upon contract requirements. Position will be located onsite at a customer facility in Herndon, VA.
