Job Description:
The Cloud Sales Program Specialist’s role is to be a subject matter expert in Cloud vendor programs and work to maximize margin through program knowledge, process development and routine auditing with corrective actions. The Specialist will support and represent Converge in a positive and professional manner, working with internal and external contacts to satisfy clients and achieve company goals as related to Cloud sales margin maximization. This includes but is not limited to the responsibilities and duties identified below. New responsibilities may be assigned as identified by the business.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Works with Leadership, Sales, Pre-Sales and Sales Ops to provide support for Cloud manufacturers, to include Microsoft, AWS, Google, and IBM Cloud.
- Serves as a primary contact for resolving billing related queries, issues, and incidents; escalates complex support requests to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintains cloud billing pricing; collects, audits, prepares, loads and maintains pricing data.
- Leads regular cloud billing reconciliation activities; audits and validates accuracy of configuration and reported data using external resources.
- Creates, maintains, and distributes reports from cloud billing data.
- Updates, maintains, and manages system and process documentation, a variety of logs, files, and other documents.
- Assists with defining corporate processes for Cloud Sales.
- Participates in End User Reporting process.
- Assists with payer onboarding/offboarding.
- Executes CTA processes, onboarding and offboarding.
- Assists with Discount Audits (reseller and vendor).
- Assigns End User credits (or other credits).
- Tracks AWS EDP/PPA performance.
- Analyzes system improvement opportunities, identifies problem trends and training issues, suggests updates.
- Establishes strong working relationships and collaborates with clients, partners, Sales, Cloud Operations, Accounting, Finance, and IT Services to ensure that the cloud billing process is accurate, timely, optimized, and able to support the business requirements of customers, partners, and internal users.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Experience, Skills, and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent applicable work experience
- FinOps Certified Practitioner or higher certification preferred
- 2 - 5 years’ direct experience managing cloud programs and spend
- Excellent decision-making skills
