About the Job
Responsible for the support, maintenance, and implementation of BluPeak’s diverse enterprise information and data technologies systems including, but not limited to network (on-prem, hybrid cloud), computer hardware and software, 3rd Party interfaces, and voice technologies. Conducts support for service desk, providing knowledge sharing and documentation to staff to prevent single points of failure. Individual to possess a solid foundation in server farm frameworks organization and a good deal of experience in review logging, event management, virtualization, and basic organization of the executive's conventions. Responsible for system tasks such as patches, upgrades, configuration changes, backups, and ongoing troubleshooting and support.
Enjoys working in a team environment and is highly engaged, member focused, and is able to mentor others. Partners with credit union-wide management, using strong collaboration skills to develop effective relationships. Demonstrates strong technical skills to develop, support, and maintain networking infrastructure and solutions, including but not limited to enterprise applications, virtual server infrastructure, switches, VOIP systems, storage area networks, Active Directory, firewalls, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager. Possesses strong understanding and focus on information security. Troubleshoots and resolves the most complex technical challenges. Manages complex, networked systems and servers in a highly available Microsoft Windows Domain environment. Continue to sustain our current systems and technologies, while supporting and being a driving force for a digital first transformation & modernization (on-prem to hybrid cloud migration).

Responsibilities:Network Hardware and Software Support
• Supports hardware and software for all network devices to include routers (Cisco), firewalls (CheckPoint, Cisco), encryption hardware
• Supports hardware and software for telecom systems
• Designs, implements, and maintains messaging solutions including Microsoft Exchange, along with the associated archival, anti-spam, and anti-malware platforms
• Manages and maintains remote connectivity solutions including CheckPoint
• Performs storage area network maintenance and administration including performance monitoring, storage provisioning, and resource control
• Working knowledge of iSCSI and Fiber connectivity and storage presentation (NAS, SAN)
• Troubleshoots network equipment and connectivity problems and provides support for network issues in a 7/24 on call environment
• Proactively replaces network hardware and software devices as needed
• Installs and tests new network equipment under management’s direction
Operating System Support
• Maintains up to date on industry knowledge & trends to provide support for network operating systems on all network devices and telecom equipment
• Implements, monitors, and maintains current versions of Microsoft Server operating systems (2012, 2019, 2022)
• Supports operating systems on network devices & identifies technological enhancements
• Monitors network circuits and device performance
Network Security
• Maintains and administers network security systems including Network Access Control, CheckPoint firewalls, ForcePoint, Cisco Umbrella, web security, Cylance, and Active Directory Group Policy
• Monitors and patches all network and telecom devices regularly to maintain network security
• Stays abreast of network security & emerging trends and identifies risks to management
• Reviews vendor-issued security releases and identifies corrective steps
• Reviews MSSP security alerts and correspondence and reviews issues identified
• Work with security personnel to analyze and identify vulnerabilities discovered through security scans or other audits and tests
Enterprise-wide Information Technology Network and Telecom Hardware
• Monitors network and telecom hardware for errors, with the intent to convert network to soft phone technology (monitoring that system once implemented).
• Assists in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the disaster recovery plan; regularly tests disaster recovery solution to assure its readiness when needed.
• Maintains network connectivity and all network and telecom devices at Business Continuance sites as well as conduct fail over testing.
• Identifies areas of possible improvement in customer service, network uptime, and device-monitoring.
Support Third Party Applications
• Provides support for third party applications by being a technical resource for troubleshooting, monitoring for hardware, and software errors.
o Works with vendors to troubleshoot, upgrade and patch these systems
• Regularly reviews application performance; identify areas of concern and recommend improvements to maximize uptime and reliability.

• Must have effective communication skills to be able to work with all levels of the organization from Senior Leadership to vendors and staff. Must be able to provide consistent updates to key departments during projects, effectively communicate with management and have the ability to present status updates, proposals, tactics as necessary• Adhere to company policy and procedure, complete annual compliance training, comply with business continuity and vendor management policy. These are crucial to the success of the organization and have regulatory compliance and/or safety and soundness for the sustainability of the credit union.
• Comply with all Anti Money Laundering laws such as the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and USA PATRIOT Act and all related policies and procedures including accurate Member/Customer Identification Program, member due diligence, accurate OFAC match processing, and reporting unusual activities and suspected fraud.
• Perform other duties as assigned
Education:
• Four (4) year degree in a technology related field and:
o Minimum of (8) years demonstrated experience specifically in IT, as well as in the areas of network administration and management
o Or 10 years plus experience specifically in IT with a similar role in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
Experience:
• Minimum of four (4) years demonstrated experience in managing networking systems, design of network systems, and LAN/WAN management required
• Minimum of four (4) years demonstrated experience with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls, with the demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex networks and phone systems (Cisco)
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in modern Microsoft domain technologies preferred
• Working knowledge and experience managing Microsoft SQL Server (2012, 2019)
• Minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience and knowledge in servers preferred.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of multiple network and communications protocols including Active Directory, DHCP, VPN, routers, switches, and firewalls
• Credit union experience preferred
• Demonstrated excellence in network and data security practices and policies
• Demonstrated knowledge in telecommunications
• Demonstrated knowledge of IT systems/data security
• Demonstrated knowledge of data standards (both data exchange and storage)
• Minimum of five (5) years Microsoft Azure
• Optional of five (5) years Google Cloud
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications, etc.: Network Operating System Support
• One or more of the following current certifications are required:
o Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher
o Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) Routing & Switching
o Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
o Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
o VMWare
• One or more of the following current certifications are recommended:
o Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Professional (CCNP) or other Cisco certifications

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to be able to resolve technical/complex questions regarding browsers configurations, financial software, and web applications.
Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, leadership and vendors effectively. Must be able to deliver excellent customer service, represent BluPeak well and have good work ethics and integrity.
Great analytical skills and a high level of organization and prioritization as well as experience in solving network problems, defining, researching and development of complex systems with minimal supervision.
