Our client, a world-leading Pharmaceutical Company in Cambridge, MA is currently looking for a Associate Scientist to join their expanding team.
Job Title: Associate Scientist (Cell Culture, Molecular Biology)
Duration: 18 months contract, extendable up to 36 months
Location: Cambridge, MA

Job Description:
Biotherapeutic Discovery and Engineering (BDE) group within BioMedicine Design (BMD) is seeking an Associate Scientist to support our therapeutic discovery efforts across a wide range of diseases.
Our group is focused on designing and developing innovative therapeutic modalities and we are looking to expand our research team of driven scientists to aid in the development of Client protein- and RNA-based therapeutics.
A desire to learn new techniques and expand the knowledge about Client technologies is essential as we look for a driven scientist motivated to have an impact on our innovative approaches.
The individual will work collaboratively in a supportive environment to be trained on various DNA, RNA and protein related techniques.
Supporting:
high-throughput cloning and screening of antibodies and antibody fragments
pool DNA cloning from antibody discovery outputs
in vitro phage library panning and clone screening via phage ELISA and periprep ELISA
high-throughput binding assays for IgG testing such as ELISA and similar techniques
anopore sequencing of antibodies and antibody fragments
mammalian cell culture, mammalian cell preparation
mammalian cell binding by FACS
DNA library preparation (cloning and DNA purification)
phage library preparation (E. coli electroporation and phage rescue)
using automation for most of the steps and activities
Required Skills:
1. Bacterial/mammalian cell culture
2. Biochemical Assay
3. Molecular biology
Preferred Skill:
1. Automation experience
2. NGS/sequencing experience
3. Display technology experience

Minimum Education:
BA/BS
