About the Job
This position is directly responsible for the smooth running of the staff and the daily operations of the clinical areas. The Clinical Manager must work closely with the Front Office Supervisor, Practice Administrator, and Managing Physician to ensure quality employee and patient satisfaction. The Clinical Manager must continue ongoing education in areas of personnel management, nursing management, telephone triage, immunizations, OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, and training issues. The Clinical Manager will be part of the clinical staff rotation seeing patients with the physicians and performing triage in addition to the management responsibilities. The Clinical Manager must have current licensure or certification and be up to date with CPR certification.
HOURS:
Full-time to coincide with regular clinical staff schedules, including weekend coverage from time to time.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the staffing schedule for the clinical staff.
- Oversee the coordination of clinical staff PTO requests.
- Fill in and help out as necessary.
- Fill in for the Front Office Manager as is necessary.
- Supervise staff in managing their daily responsibilities including telephone triage staff.
- Train, Coach, Discipline, and Counsel staff as needed.
- Maintain accessibility to the entire staff in regard to any personnel issues.
- Oversee doctor's schedules to optimize patient scheduling efficiency.
- Act as an intermediary with problems and concerns between staff and physicians.
- Assure a sensitive, timely, and thorough follow-up and resolution of all patient complaints.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide OSHA in service to all new employees within 48 hours of hire.
- Maintained OSHA records for the office.
- Direct the recruiting and interview process of new personnel, responding to resumes, performing interviews, reference checks, and hiring applicants with approval by the Practice Administrator and Managing Physician.
- Establish training and in-service programs for staff.
- Establish policies and procedure
- Maintain education materials for accessibility to staff.
- Schedule and preside over staff meetings.
- Participate in monthly physician meetings.
- Maintain a nursing reference area with current books and relevant aids for patient teaching and nurse education.
- Update establish and implement telephone triage protocols.
- Maintain staff personnel files in coordination with the Practice Administrator including nursing license, CME, and CPR certifications.
- Keep current personnel immunization files. Schedule and follow up annual vaccinations for the entire staff.
- Oversee maintenance of Lab Equipment.
- Oversee quality controls of the CBC machine.
- Oversee CLIA recordkeeping and licensing.
- Oversee the ordering and stock levels of medical and lab supplies.
- Oversee sample stocks.
- Oversee the ordering and stock levels of immunizations.
- Oversee recordkeeping for the VFC program.
- Oversee the dispensing of Nebulizers.
- Oversee the ordering and stock levels of forms.
- Remain up to date and assist staff and physicians with EMR processes.
- Manage drug rep meetings.
- All other duties as required.
ANNUAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and present performance evaluations for clinical staff.
- OSHA review for the entire staff
- CLIA review for the entire staff
- CLIA license renewal
Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification/Licensure: Medical Assistant, LPN or RN.
- Experience: 2-3 years experience in the medical or healthcare field.
