Maximus is hiring a Clinical Manager to support the IL SALT program.
**This is a fully remote position with quarterly travel to Chicago required.
About the Program: We have contracted with the State of Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) to manage comprehensive assessment processes for various screening and assessment services including:
Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR)Level I screens and completing Level II Serious Mental Illness (SMI) evaluations for individuals applying to, or residing in, Medicaid-certified nursing facilities.The federally mandated PASRR screening and assessment are used to determine whether the nursing facility is the appropriate placement for individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities, or developmental disabilities. PASRR also works as a critical function to help match individuals with the care and services they need.
Follow Up Visits, in-person visits scheduled between the 30th and 60th day of Nursing Facility (NF) stays for persons who have previously received a PASRR Level II Mental Health Assessment
Assessment processes for all persons indicating preference for placement in aSpecialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF)setting
Assessment processes for all persons indicating preference for placement in aSupported Living Program (SLP)setting
Colbert Dementia Reviewconducted to facilitate HFS compliance with Colbert Consent Decree requirements and appropriate services for Cook County residents

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise a designated team of unit staff
- Responsible for the training and development of unit staff
- Monitor the activities, schedules, productivity and work product results of the assigned unit
- Review clinical documentation including pending denials for each assigned staff member in real-time
- Collect QA information from assigned staff
- Disseminate policy, protocol change, and ensure implementation
- Lead regular team meetings and act as the point-person for assigned staff
- Conduct scheduled and random post-assessment home visits to ensure customer satisfaction
- Promote project image and goals through public speaking engagements and local professional presentations
- Meet all standards established for this position as outlined in the corresponding annual performance criteria and bonus template for this position
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by Management
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Master's Degree in Mental Health, Behavioral Sciences, Social Work or similar degree program
- Eight years of management and leadership expertise in the mental health sector
- Skilled in navigating challenging discussions, mentoring team members, and delivering feedback for improvement.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
