Position Description
Position Overview: As a Clean Room Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness, functionality, and compliance of our clean room environments. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing preventive maintenance programs to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing Routine Maintenance: Including cleaning and sanitizing clean room surfaces, equipment, and utilities according to established procedures and protocols.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnosing Issues: Identifying problems with machinery, equipment, or systems, and determining the root cause of malfunctions or breakdowns.
- Overseeing Part Inventory: Conduct regular inspections of clean room facilities to identify and address any cleanliness or maintenance issues promptly.
- Following Maintenance Schedules: Adhering to planned maintenance schedules to ensure timely servicing of machinery and equipment, reducing the risk of unexpected downtime.
- Documenting Maintenance Activities: Recording maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections accurately in maintenance logs or digital systems for documentation and analysis purposes.
Within your first 30 days:
- Complete comprehensive training on clean room protocols, equipment, and maintenance procedures.
- Conduct initial inspections of clean room facilities to familiarize yourself with equipment and identify any immediate maintenance needs.
- Establish rapport with team members and key stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Begin documenting all maintenance activities and updating maintenance logs as per company standards.
- Review and understand relevant regulatory requirements applicable to clean room operations.
Within 60 days:
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitization tasks independently, ensuring adherence to established protocols and schedules.
- Execute preventive maintenance activities for clean room equipment and systems to minimize downtime and maximize reliability.
- Address any identified maintenance issues promptly, utilizing troubleshooting skills and technical expertise.
- Contribute ideas for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the clean room environment.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss compliance updates and upcoming projects related to clean room operations.
Within 90 days to one year:
- Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the clean room environment.
- Lead or actively participate in at least one continuous improvement project aimed at optimizing clean room operations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and company policies governing clean room facilities.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior technicians or new team members joining the clean room maintenance department.
- Prepare a comprehensive report summarizing achievements, challenges, and recommendations for future improvements in clean room maintenance processes.
Position Requirements
- Two to five years of maintenance experience including troubleshooting machinery.
- Knowledge in one or more of the following fields: Electronics, Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Mechanical.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and compliance in clean room environments.
Preferred
- Two to five years of maintenance experience including troubleshooting machinery using volt or amp meter and other necessary hand tools.
- Experience with packaging machinery including Heat Sealers, and Form Fill Packaging Machines.
- Minimum one year of experience in maintaining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
