Job Scope
The Clean & Packaging Lead works under minimal supervision and follows established procedures to provide technical guidance to coworkers, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems quickly and efficiently in the Clean & Packaging area. In addition to the daily job duties, they coordinate area coverages to ensure maximum productivity in collaboration with Production Supervisors as well as provide backup support where needed within the Clean & Packaging area. They will work with the supervisor, cross-departmental business partners, or vendors to coordinate necessary services needed thus ensuring maximum uptime. They monitor supply levels, communicate supply needs to purchasing, and work with vendors as needed to ensure discrepancies and problems are resolved in accordance with Acumed policies and procedures. They are subject matter experts on the operations they support, and a role model for employees in the department.

Responsibilities
- Collaborates with supervisor or Process Engineer to understand and communicate work priorities to cell team members.
- Coordinates internal and external resources to return to service any equipment that is down due to maintenance or repair need.
- Maintains adequate inventory of needed supplies for operations which they own. Coordinates PO's as necessary.
- Reviews processing forms and records them in appropriate locations.
- Performs root cause investigations on non-conformances and provides feedback to teams.
- Coordinates employees to maximize area coverage and production under the guidance of the Production Supervisor. Creates Employee work schedules as necessary.
- Monitors cell for best work practices and policies; escalates concerns regarding adherence to established processes to Production Supervisor.
- Models exemplary behavior in terms of communication, quality, productivity, safety, positive attitude, cross-shift cooperation and adherence to established processes.
- Completes activities established in Leader Stand Work (LSW)
- Compiles Metrics for Daily Visual Management
- Provides feedback and coaches team members to ensure compliance to processes and regulatory guidelines.
- Communicates tasks and projects to individual team members at the Production Supervisor's direction.
- May function as a backup in Supervisor's absence.
- Drives process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Requires a high school diploma/GED and 2-4 years related experience
- Cross training in multiple clean/pack operations preferred
- Established leadership and communication abilities
- Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as SAP
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
- Ability to learn, adapt to change, and model behavior for entire team
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, maintain composure and adhere to deadlines
- Proven ability to read, write and speak English fluently
