We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Claims Supervisor to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will oversee the claims handling process, manage risks, and conduct thorough investigations. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our company, and we are looking for a candidate who can take on the challenge and drive us towards success.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the daily operations of the claims department, ensuring all claims are processed accurately and efficiently.
2. Manage a team of claims handlers, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
3. Conduct thorough investigations into complex claims, using your analytical skills to determine liability and assess damages.
4. Implement and maintain robust risk management strategies to minimize the company’s exposure to claims.
5. Liaise with other departments, insurance companies, and legal representatives as necessary.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
7. Continually review and refine the claims handling process to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
8. Prepare and present reports on claims activities and trends to senior management.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Regional Claims Supervisor, Claims Manager, or similar role in the insurance industry.
2. Extensive knowledge of claims handling and risk management processes.
3. Proven experience in conducting detailed investigations and making sound judgements.
4. Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
6. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
7. Proficiency in using computer software relevant to the role, such as claims management systems and data analysis tools.
8. A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field. A professional certification in claims management or risk management would be a plus.
