Job Summary/Overview: As a Civil Design Engineer, you'll take the helm, leading projects from inception to completion. This role offers the chance to engage actively in every facet of the development process, collaborating closely with clients, designers, and construction professionals to ensure the delivery of top-tier projects.
Responsibilities:
- Craft and develop comprehensive site layout plans meticulously tailored to client requirements while adhering diligently to regulatory standards.
- Foster seamless communication and collaboration with clients, project teams, and review agencies, guaranteeing successful project execution.
- Demonstrate exceptional project management skills, effectively overseeing assigned tasks and ensuring on-time and within-budget project delivery.
- Establish a strong partnership with the construction division to facilitate a seamless transition from design to execution.
- Serve as a mentor and guide for junior engineers, nurturing their professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license, signifying your expertise and adherence to industry standards.
- Bring to the table a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in Civil Site Design, with a particular emphasis on commercial and residential projects.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of relevant codes and regulations governing the design of utilities, grading, storm sewer systems, and the acquisition of land disturbance permits.
- Exhibit proficiency in industry-standard software tools, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, hydraulic computation software, and Microsoft Office Suite, ensuring efficient and effective project execution.
- Thrive in both independent and collaborative work environments, showcasing your adaptability and teamwork skills.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
- Professional Engineer (PE) Certification is mandatory, underscoring the importance of professional accreditation.
- Candidates must have pre-existing relationships with at least state/regional approval agencies, highlighting the need for established industry connections.
- This company will relocate candidates from the Midwest. Local candidates are ideal.
