Our client, a prominent leader in the waste and recycling industry, is seeking a seasoned Chief Operating Officer/Senior Vice President (COO/SVP) to oversee daily operations and drive strategic objectives across all locations. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in the solid waste and recycling industry, a proven track record of operational excellence, and a passion for sustainable practices.
Position Summary: As COO/SVP, you will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for optimizing operations, executing corporate strategies, and ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and long-term goals. This position requires a dynamic leader who thrives on innovation, team leadership, and operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Execute corporate strategies and support the CEO in achieving long-term goals.
- Develop and improve systems for delivering the company's services and products.
- Shape future growth through strategic planning and execution.
- Manage operating budgets, resources, and shareholder value as directed by leadership.
- Develop and track key performance metrics to enhance operations.
- Lead and inspire teams while aligning personnel with company objectives.
- Oversee organizational structure, team development, and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 15 years in senior management, preferably in waste/recycling.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the solid waste and recycling sectors.
- Skills: Strong operational, financial, and analytical expertise with experience in process improvement and HR management.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Strategic Vision: Adept at big-picture thinking and strategic planning.
