Job Description:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our flooring company. This role requires a hands-on leader who can ensure efficient processes, manage resources effectively, and maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management within the flooring or building materials industry and a proven track record of driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes
- Manage and coordinate the activities of the operations team, including scheduling, production, and quality control
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize productivity and performance
- Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales, procurement, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction
- Manage inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of materials
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the flooring or building materials industry
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in operations management software and tools
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
