OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The VP of Finance is responsible for the oversight of all agency fiscal operations. This includes budget development, accounting and financial reports, grants and contract management. In addition to providing information to the CEO and Program Directors, the VP of Finance is a member of the agency's Management Team, serves on the Board of Directors' Finance Committee.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or equivalent. CPA preferred.
- Experience: Four years of accounting experience working in a supervisory capacity, and familiarity with computerized accounting systems.
- Availability: Monday - Friday
- Driver's License: Current Oregon Driver License, acceptable record, and insurability under Agency's auto insurance.
ABILITIES TO:
- A working knowledge of full cycle accounting and associated procedures.
- Non-profit accounting experience; knowledge of federal grant requirements.
- Successful experience using Windows-environment computer systems and applications, Sage ERP 300 experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and methods.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of an integrated team.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Cultural sensitivity and experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Professional appearance appropriate to the position.
