Position Overview
Hiring Hub is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a proven track record in the construction industry. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy, overseeing financial operations, and driving growth in alignment with the company’s objectives. This executive will work closely with the CEO, leadership team, and stakeholders to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Planning and Leadership
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s short- and long-term goals.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to guide strategic decision-making.
- Lead the financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes.
Operational Financial Management
- Oversee all financial functions, including accounting, treasury, risk management, and compliance.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in adherence to regulatory and industry standards.
- Monitor cash flow, manage debt, and optimize the company’s capital structure.
Construction-Specific Expertise
- Manage financial aspects of project budgeting, costing, and profitability analysis.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial alignment on contracts and bids.
- Assess and mitigate financial risks unique to the construction industry, such as cost overruns and payment cycles.
Leadership and Team Development
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering professional growth and development.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration across departments.
- Act as a key advisor to the executive team on financial and operational matters.
Risk Management and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and tax requirements.

- Oversee insurance programs and manage relationships with external auditors and financial institutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in the construction industry.
- Deep understanding of construction project accounting, revenue recognition, and cost management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proven experience in risk management, capital allocation, and business operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems relevant to the construction industry.

- Experience with construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Sage 300).
