Job Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer will direct and oversee the financial activities of the company, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, and create forecasts predicting future growth. The CFO will lead the Finance and Accounting divisions of the company, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting to qualified stakeholders.

- Hours: On-site 100%, Ideally Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Job Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer will direct and oversee the financial activities of the company, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, and create forecasts predicting future growth. The CFO will lead the Finance and Accounting divisions of the company, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting to qualified stakeholders.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees Accounting department, Finance department, budget preparation, and audit functions
- Works with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations
- Develops personnel to ensure functionality across teams, high performance and talent retention
- Integrates with the Senior Leadership Team to develop personnel and organizational effectiveness
- Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports
- Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets
- Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods
- Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination
- Works with the President and CEO and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process
- Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share
- Ensure compliance with all financial reporting and regulatory requirements, including tax filings, audits, and other reporting requirements
- Manage relationships with external partners, including banks, auditors, and other financial service providers
- Monitor actual performance against budget and provide regular updates and analysis to the CEO and Board of Directors
- Develop and maintain financial forecasting models that support long-term financial planning and decision-making
- Identifies opportunities for expansion into new product areas
- Oversees investment of funds and works with investment bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion projects
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Master s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required
- Certified Public Accountant designation preferred
- Eight to ten years of experience in financial management required (managing a small team within both Finance and Accounting functions)
- Experience within a pharmaceutical or related industry
- Experience within a CDMO environment preferred
Required Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
- Excellent management and leadership skills
- Hands-on contributor with strategic growth experience working with various internal/external teams and stakeholders
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems. SAP experience preferred, but not mandatory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated success in regulatory audit inspections
- Proven track record of successful financial management
- Experience developing and implementing financial strategies and managing budgets
- Experience overseeing financial reporting and compliance
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to access various departments of a given location
- Must adhere to consistent and predictable in-person attendance
