About the Job
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Giant Noise Partners is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the organization, leading all financial administration, business planning and strategy, and budgeting for the organization. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO works together with leadership team members to achieve agency growth, profitability and long-term financial objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy, Planning and Management
- Communicate, engage and interact with leadership team members, advising and advocating for strong financial policies
- Key participant in pivotal decisions as they relate to strategic initiatives and operational models
- Assess and evaluate financial performance of the organization regarding long term operational goals, budgets, forecasts and capital requirements
- Provide insight and recommendations to short term and long-term organization growth plans
- Make suggestions for automating processes and increasing efficiency
- Establish yearly and long-term financial objectives that align with the company’s plan for growth
- Implement, maintain and audit internal financial controls, policies, procedures and processes as appropriate
Financial Budgeting, Administration and Operations
- Advise CEO about financial operations, stability, and liquidity of agency
- Develop financial policies of agency for management of assets and liabilities of agency
- Oversee the development of agency budgets and financial plans
- Arrange sources for financing activities of agency
- Support and lead finance team in preparation of monthly financials, and profit and efficiency reports
- Explore and develop new areas for agency growth and profitability
- Execute analysis of business opportunities and initiatives, product launches and/or new service offerings
- Hands on/active supervision and engagement with financial team staff
- Oversee timely preparation and communication of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reporting
- Partner closely with Human Resources leadership to ensure proper management of personnel compensation, benefits and compliance requirements
- Coordination of legal needs and requirements with agency’s legal counsel
- Serve as liaison with agency’s outside accounting and tax vendors
- Provide support for CEO’s other business entities and personal investments in conjunction with CEO’s personal financial advisors
Client Compensation
- Develop, negotiate, and implement profitable client compensation systems.
Financial Projects
- Prepare and complete financial projects assigned by the CEO
- Respond to financial needs by initiating financial projects within the department
Employee Compensation and Benefit Programs
- In partnership with CEO, COO and Assistant Director of Human Resources, develop overall compensation strategies and budgets to align with financial goals
- Review and approve increase recommendations
- Assure that investment objectives of retirement plans are met
Risk Management
- Together with CEO and COO, assess areas of agency risk and prioritize via risk register
- Review and approve business insurance programs to maintain risk at acceptable levels
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s in Accounting required
- CPA and/or MBA a plus
- 10 years’ experience in PR, advertising or related professional services organizations
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Hands-on financial team leadership aptitude with proven execution experience
- Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence, ability to motivate staff
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Physical Demands: Sitting 85% of the time, standing 15% of the time.
- Working Hours: Typically, work hours are from 9:00 AM CST to 6:00 PM CST, Mondays through Fridays. Availability to work as needed on nights and weekends may be required.
- Physical Ability: Capable of lifting 20-50 lbs. as necessary.
- Manual Dexterity: Regular use of hands and fingers for computer use.
- Sensory Function: Everyday use of vision and auditory senses, including exposure to blue light from computers.
- Environment: Work primarily indoors in an environmentally controlled setting. However, occasional travel and the ability to work in-office and on-site for client related meetings and events may be necessary.
- Communication: Daily communication with peers, media, and clients is essential to the role.
- Cognitive Demands: Ability to maintain cognitive thinking and logical reasoning throughout tasks and responsibilities.
