Responsibilities:
- Optimize distillation processes to enhance efficiency, throughput, and product quality.
- Develop and implement process improvements to reduce energy use, waste, and environmental impact.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and reclaim teams to improve processes and solve issues.
- Provide technical support to ensure safe and efficient operation of distillation equipment.
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis to resolve operational issues and maintain material balances.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and training materials for distillation processes.
- Participate in process hazard analyses (PHA) and management of change (MOC) for safety compliance.
- Review and develop process flow diagrams (PFD) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in distillation.
- Support new product development with expertise in distillation processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with 8-10 years of experience. Master's degree with 5 years of experience preferred.
- Minimum 3 years in process/production engineering focused on distillation.
- Knowledge of process simulation software, lean, and Six Sigma is desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for complex process issues.
- Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance.
