As Channel Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for elevating and differentiating our brands and products in the retail channel, focused on our convenience, food, drug, club and dollar segments. This role is responsible for leading our ‘Go-to-Market’ marketing strategy and integrated marketing plans to support new product launches and new program efforts with cross-functional leaders including sales, creative services, category management and operations. You will be accountable for identifying market, customer and consumer needs as well as developing and implementing retailer marketing strategies and promotions to drive demand and market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Channel Leader: Lead all Convenience, Food, Drug, Club and Dollar Marketing efforts, working directly with retailer merchant / marketing teams and quarterbacking internally with our sales, category management, and other marketing leadership to drive sales across our portfolio and ensure we meet deadlines.
- Annual Planning: Manage the segment marketing promotional calendar– including recommendation, financial evaluation, execution, and post-promo analysis of category specific, omni-channel promotions.
- Strategy: Develop segment strategy and presentations for product line reviews. Recommend short and long-range goals to support objectives and develop programming for attainment of goals.
- Merchandising: Create demand & brand preference through understanding customer insights. Create and drive differentiated brand strategy in-aisle through innovative product merchandising to enhance customer intent to purchase. Drive integration between in-store and online marketing and merchandising. Use those insights to develop planograms for mutual growth.
- Integrated Marketing: Work in close partnership with Product Category Management to develop meaningful product category portfolios. Understand the competitive landscape and drive retail product vitality and develop new product launch plans. Make recommendations to increase penetration of our products. Collaborate with events manager on trade show strategy and management.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND ADDITIONAL SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field
- 4+ years of prior experience in Marketing, Channel Management and/or Product Development with progressively more responsibility and a proven track record of results
- 2+ years Marketing Experience within retail / showroom channels
- 2+ years of experience with P&L and budgeting
- High proficiency in Microsoft suite, planogram software, Adobe creative suite
- Significant familiarity with consumer marketing and retail landscape to provide strategic leadership and direction to the business.
- Analytical thinker with ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems
- Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging, fast-paced environment
- Possesses a high level of creativity to regularly generate innovative solutions to market challenges
- Ability to travel approximately 25% annually
