Shifts Per Week: 4 Shifts

Scheduled Hours: 40 Hours

Hourly Rate: Up to $26.47 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our surgical team. In this role, you will assist in the nursing care of patients during the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. You will be responsible for preparing, disbursing, and managing surgical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation. You will also ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and AORN guidelines to provide exceptional patient care. This position offers a flexible variable shift schedule, allowing you to gain experience across various surgeries and settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing the operating room by selecting and arranging surgical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation.
• Maintain sterile conditions and ensure adherence to aseptic techniques throughout surgical procedures.
• Support the surgical team during operations by anticipating needs and ensuring all equipment is properly functioning.
• Provide patient care in accordance with established policies, standards, and AORN guidelines.
• Participate in the responsible management of departmental resources and assist with post-operative room turnover.
• Be available for on-call shifts as required by the department.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic techniques and AORN standards.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
