Responsibilities:

• Surgical Support: Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures, ensuring the sterile field is maintained and all instruments and equipment are properly handled.
• Patient Care: Prepare patients for surgery, provide pre- and post-operative care, and monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
• Equipment and Supply Management: Maintain inventory and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available for procedures.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the surgical team to anticipate needs and ensure smooth and efficient procedures.
• On-Call Responsibilities: Participate in an on-call rotation (1 day/week and 1 weekend/month) with a 30-minute response time. Receive $4.00/hour while on call and a minimum of 2 hours of pay at time and a half when called in.

Qualifications:

• Required:
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
  • Surgical Technician Certification (CST) is preferred at the time of employment, but must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
  • At least 2-3 years of acute care hospital-based operating room experience.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Ortho, Neuro, General Surgery, Spine & Robotics.
  • Current BLS certification (can be obtained on the first day through the Learning Center).

Schedule:

• Full-Time: 80 hours per pay period.
• Shift: Day Shift (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Weekend and Holiday Call: As assigned.
