The CSFA functions under the direction of thesurgeon during the intraoperative phase of the perioperative experience to provide a safe, efficient, and supportive environment for the surgical patient.

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
  
• Proficient in scrubbing allspecialties with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  
• Current Certification in Surgical Technology
  
• Current Certification as a First Assistant
  
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified
