Under the general supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, the Certified Pharmacy Technician supervises all services. This multifaceted job gives individuals the opportunity to collaborate with all departments in the Center in order to provide the best patient care.
Work Schedule is Monday - Friday 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews physician medication orders for appropriateness, correct dosing, allergies, contraindication, interactions, etc.
- Use USP Chapters 795, 797, & 800 guidelines to compound drugs.
- Assists customers with purchases.
- Operates cash register, including balancing.
- Compounds non-sterile prescriptions.
- Assists in development, implementation, monitoring, and reporting on effectiveness of policies and procedures.
- Maintains shelf labels and assists with inventory.
- Assists with inventory - stocking, inventory management, etc.
- Fills and ships homecare supplies.
- Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the Apothecary and storeroom.
- Assists in gift shop selection, gift shop ordering, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of gift shop.
- Assist with the training of newly hired technicians and interns.
- High School Diploma
- Pharmacy Technician Certification
- Pharmacy Technician in the state of Georgia.
- Previous retail pharmacy experience (preferred)
- Exceptional Customer service skills
- Cash register experience
- Highly organized, strong attention to detail.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
- Good Verbal and written communication skills, and attention to details necessary.
- Highly motivated
- Takes initiative
- May involve walking, standing, or kneeling for brief or extended periods of time.
- Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- Some potential for exposure to blood and body fluids.
