ToprovideoccupationaltherapyservicesasassignedunderthedirectionandsupervisionoftheOccupationalTherapistinaccordancewithPureHealth’spoliciesandproceduresandincompliancewithstateandfederalregulations.

EssentialDutiesandResponsibilities

1.       UnderthedirectionoftheOccupationalTherapist,maycontributetotheassessmentofinpatientsandoutpatientsinrelationtotheirdiagnosis

2.       UnderthedirectionoftheOccupationalTherapist,mayprovideinterventioninaccordanceto,andcontributetothetreatmentplan,whichispatientfocusedandrelevanttotheactualandpotentialhealthproblemsofthecustomer

3.       Documentation(dailycharges,ProgressNotes,andotherreports)iscomplete,legible,accurate,timelyandreflectiveofdepartmentstandards

4.       Therapeuticbenefitoftreatmentismonitoredandmodifiedappropriately

5.       Provideseducationatthelevelappropriateforeachcustomer.Customerand/orfamily’slearningneedsareassessed,addressed,anddocumentedperdepartmentstandards

6.       Initiates,coordinates,andcommunicatescollaborativeefforts(providerupdates,dischargeplanning)amongsthealthteammembersandotherinterestedpartiestoshowacomprehensivepictureofthecustomer

7.       Demonstratescompetencyinclinicalskillsandtechniquesspecifictoeachunitonanannualbasis

8.       Organizesandadjustsscheduleaccordingtodepartmentworkvolumeandcustomercaseloadtomaintainproductivitytargets.Keepsimmediatesupervisorinformedofongoingactivitiesorproblemsinregardstocustomercaseloadinatimelymanner

9.       Providesinputregardingdepartmentoperationalmattersincludingbutnotlimitedtoprogramdevelopment,qualityimprovement,facilities,planning,operationalandcapitalbudgets

10.    ComplieswithlawsandregulationsapplicabletopositionandactinaccordancewithCorporateComplianceProgram,thelicensingBoardofTexasHealthcareandtheAmericanOccupationalTherapy
