POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide routine nursing care and services that support the care delivered to patients/residents requiring long-term acute or transitional restorative care, in accordance with the established nursing care procedures and as directed by the nurse.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must hold a current CNA or LNA state Certification and must maintain Certification/ License renewal in accordance with the standards of the regulatory agency;
- Prior experience in healthcare preferred;
- Basic computer skills as evidenced by knowledge of Internet and Email; Preferred
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English;
- BLS certification through American Heart Association;
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides general aspects of patient/resident care that meet psychosocial or physical needs or both simultaneously, within the CNA’s scope of practice to include but not be limited to: feeding, bathing, and dressing patients/residents; assisting with toileting; taking vital signs; serving meals; making beds; keeping rooms tidy; setting up medical equipment and assisting with procedures; answering call lights for help; and observing and reporting changes in a patient/resident condition or behavior;
- Meets current documentation standards and completes within shift;
- Practices established infection control procedures;
- Basic computer skills as evidenced by knowledge of Internet and Email;
- Maintains confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information;
- Works ethically and demonstrates good customer service;
- Arrives promptly, regularly and reliably for assigned work schedule;
- Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
