Responsibilities:
Pulmonary Physicians of St. Joseph is now Hiring a Full Time Certified Medical Assistant for our team.
The Certified Medical Assistant will be a member of a clinical team of CMAs and nurses, supporting our provider team. The ideal candidate will fit the qualifications and value the responsibilities of the job, as well as possess a cooperative, eagerness to provide excellent patient care. The position will support the provider and patients with rooming, taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, phone calls, medication refills/renewals and referrals. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, has an active MA license and can multitask, This position requires strong teamwork with everyone on the Pulmonary team.
- Full time Hours
- M-F
- 8 hour shifts
- Day Shift
- Medical Assistant Certification required
- BLS Required
- Experience in a Medical Office or Clinic required
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- Background in Pulmonary is a plus
- Be proficient in medical terminology
- Know how administer vaccinations
- Know how to type with basic computer skills as well as basic language skills such as spelling and grammar
- Be able to listen well and translate that into professional script.
- Have previous experience as an MA with hands-on patient care, including taking vitals and accurate histories.

Education and Work Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required.
- Medical Assistant Certification.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum one year work experience in public contact job.
- Work experience in health care preferred.
