Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our growing Primary Care clinic. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience within a medical office, and possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and record patient medical histories and vital signs
- Prepare patients for medical examinations and procedures
- Administer medications as directed by physicians
- Assist with patient education and counseling
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR)
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and filing paperwork
- Communicate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications:
- MA Certificate or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience within a medical office setting
- Proficient in taking and recording vital signs
- Proficient in Phlebotomy
- Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and patient confidentiality
