Description: Our client is currently seeking a full-time, Certified Medical Assistant in Alpharetta, Georgia. A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is a vital member of the healthcare team, responsible for providing both administrative and clinical support to medical providers. This role requires a combination of technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a strong commitment to patient care.

This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Scheduling and managing patient appointments
- Handling patient check-in and check-out processes
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Processing insurance claims and handling billing inquiries
- Managing medical supplies and inventory
- Taking and recording vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration rate)
- Assisting with medical examinations and procedures
- Preparing patients for examinations and treatments
- Administering medications as directed by a physician
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
- Performing basic laboratory tests (e.g., urinalysis, rapid strep tests)
- Assisting with minor procedures (e.g., wound care, injections)
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program
- Certification: Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Experience: Prior experience in a medical office setting required
- Primary Care experience (REQUIRED)
- BLS Certified (REQUIRED)
- Allscripts EMR experience (preferred but if not, they will be trained on it)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology and coding
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Basic computer skills, including electronic health record (EHR) systems
