Medicine for Business and Industry (MBI) operates outpatient clinics specializing in acute injury care within an Occupational Medicine setting. Our services focus on treating occupational injuries. No chronic pain management! Our fully integrated EMR system enables providers to deliver high-quality patient care with minimal administrative responsibilities.
MBI currently has 31 locations in Arizona, Colorado, California, and Nevada, with plans to expand into additional states soon. Compensation: Hourly rates range from $$93.81 to $133.31, based on experience
Work Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm at Greeley
Tuesday and Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm at Fort Collins
Summary:
Working in coordination with the other members of the Center Leadership Team and under Direction of the State Medical Director, the Center Medical Director shall deliver the highest quality healthcare in an efficient, affordable, and caring manner. The Center Medical Director drives daily center execution following the industrial athlete model and is responsible for the assigned clinic’s daily medical functions including supervision of Advanced Practice Providers. This is a full-time clinical position with little administrative responsibility.
Job Functions:
Provides healthcare to patients both in clinic and via tele-medicine according to the established principles of clinical practice and the current organizational plan or need.
Provides supervision of any Advanced Practice Provider (APP) at the Physician’s clinic location, including medical record review/oversight, direct supervision of clinical practice, and performance feedback reviews.
Perform complete history and physical exams including all body systems, vision, hearing, and/or electrocardiograms for the purpose of determining capacity to safely perform specified job functions.
Provide medical opinion regarding job accommodations if needed to safely perform specified job functions.
Review and interpret X-rays
Perform Fit for Duty evaluations
Evaluate and manage the following conditions:
Common occupational musculoskeletal injuries
Work-related injuries to the head
Work-related injuries to the chest or abdomen, with the possibility of hernias.
Work-related lacerations, wounds, burns, and rashes
Work-related eye injuries
Treatment of non-displaced uncomplicated fractures, including interpreting radiographs, splinting, and orthopedic referral when appropriate.
Leadership/People Development:
Leader of the Medical Center, alongside the Center Administrator. Provides Center’s clinical and quality oversight. Identifies clinical improvement opportunities and works with clinical leadership to improve.
Leverages clinical guidance for resolving provider quality issues.
Attends and co-leads weekly Clinic Leadership Team “CLT” meetings, 15 minutes once weekly.

On site Xray, procedure room, and slit lamp available
In house physiatrist available for referral
Developed specialist referral network
Dedicated center administrator to assist with operational tasks
Training platform to develop occupational medicine skill set
Requirements:
MD/DO
Occupational Medicine experience preferred, but we are willing to train otherwise qualified candidates with experience in UC, FP, IM, ER, Sports Medicine, or Ortho
CO DOWC Level I & II accreditation preferred, required within 6 months of hire (certification expenses covered by MBI)
FMCSA certified for DOT exams preferred, required within 60 days of hire (certification expenses covered by MBI)
Current state licensure in good standing (or in process)
Current DEA licensure
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency in computer use and Electronic Medical Records systems.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Must maintain confidentiality.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
