JOB TITLE: CELLARPERSON

LOCATION: Torrance, CA

Hermosa Brewing is hiring a part-time CELLARPERSON to join our production team. The position requires a minimum of 30 hours a week with potential to extend to full time.

We are a family owned and operated brewery looking for the right person to join our team.

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

• Assist brewer in wort production on our steam fire 15 BBL brewhouse.
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness and sanitation of all brewery equipment & parts, including cellar floors, drains, and tank exteriors.
• Cellar operations including keg washing, yeast handling and pitching, dry hopping, CIP, general cleaning, and sanitation.
• General warehousing operations, including moving ingredients, barrels, and packaged products.
• Kegging, canning & bottling our delicious beers.
• Delivering product to distribution customers.
• Other brewery-related tasks or duties as requested.
• Performing all functions according to procedures and policies

CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS:

• A passion for quality craft beer.
• General understanding of the beer production process and workflow from grain to glass.
• Hands-on brewing experience in a brewery is preferred. However, we will train the right candidate.
• Excellent communication, time management, problem solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
• Strong overall understanding of safety procedures, regulations, and requirements.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with respect, in alignment with Hermosa culture and expectations, to colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
• 21+ years of age, and the ability to pass a criminal background and illegal drug test.
• Extreme attention to detail and high standards.
• Ability to multitask effectively.
• Commitment to quality, hard work and supporting the Hermosa team.
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Able to stand, walk, and be on your feet for prolonged periods.
• Repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Able to maneuver on uneven ground.
• Able to read and follow written English instructions.
• Able to regularly twist, turn, kneel, climb, stoop, bend, and crawl on occasion.
• Able to lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing 50+ pounds.
• Able to lift 160 pound 1/2BBL kegs into and out of delivery van.
• Able to safely navigate crowded spaces.
• Able to work in indoor and outdoor production environments which may be loud, slick, humid, cold, and hot with moderate noise and occasionally slippery floors with reasonable safety accommodations.
• Work safely with chemicals with reasonable safety accommodations.
• Follow safety guidelines and adhere to PPE standards.
• Computer literate.
• Able to comply with and enforce all health, safety, and personal hygiene policies and standards.
