Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Performs any combination of routine accounting functions such as calculating, posting business transactions, processing invoices and verifying financial data for use in maintaining accounting record.
- Balances accounts, prepares summary of balances, revenue/cost information or other reports used in preparing financial statements.
- Verifies accuracy, research discrepancies and reconcile errors.
- Compiles and reviews source documents for completeness and accuracy and prepares reports.
- Maintains records and reports of pertinent information to finance, accounting or technical operations.
- May audit and proof accounting or other reports for accuracy and conformance to departmental rules, company or statutory requirements.
- May reconcile bank statements, type vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports and other records.
- Reviews records and subsequent computer printouts to balance accounts and to identify suspense items or delinquent accounts requiring further action.
- Processes financial transaction data, verifies and posts details of business transactions to appropriate ledgers and journals and totals accounts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Detail oriented and knowledgeable in utilization of spreadsheets and financial reporting software programs.
- Ability to interface well with associates, customers and vendors.
- Applies knowledge of general accounting principles, practices and procedures.
- Completion of an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or auditing that includes experience in Accounts Receivable.
