Description
The RN Case Manager coordinates services through an interdisciplinary process to provide a clinical and psychosocial approach through the continuum of care. Assists in development, planning, coordination and administration of the activities of clinical review, discharge planning, resource utilization and utilization review.
Graduate of a nursing program. Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Current Mississippi RN licensure is required. BLS certification is preferred. Three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred. Case management and/or Utilization Review experience also preferred. Requires good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all patient populations and members of the healthcare team. Must be able to determine InterQual criteria for medical necessity, understand timely discharge planning and authorizations.
