As the Capital Assets Accountant, you will:
During training, you will be required to work 5 days a week from the office. After training, your schedule can shift to a hybrid schedule of 5 days a week, with at least 3 of those days in the office.

As the Capital Assets Accountant, you will:
- Perform advanced professional accounting duties related to capital asset accounting.
- Conduct difficult analytical professional and administrative work involving planning, preparing, maintaining, monitoring, and evaluating complex financial records.
- Prepare complex financial and statistical schedules and reports for UTA's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and other complex financial statements, records, and management reports.
- Balance monthly expenditures to asset additions for UTA's Construction in Process.
- Work to solve problems with accounting entries in the asset system.
- Meet with various entities for process improvement of asset evaluation, classification, and disposal.
- Participate on the financial system team to ensure data accuracy and workflow coordination.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare routine to complex reports and analyses as required.
- Perform duties in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and other relevant requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING
- Two years accounting experience applying knowledge of proper accounting procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Knowledge of proper accounting procedures.
- Knowledge of specific laws, ordinances, and regulations governing financial reporting required.
- Knowledge of accounting software preferred.
- Basic typing skills and knowledge of personal computer operation, including advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
