About the role
- This is independent skilled work in all phases of aerial construction and repair. Work entails daily problem-solving skills, job estimation, job management, pole climbing, loading and unloading equipment and materials.
What you"ll do
- Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the repair or pole transfer.
- Cut, assemble and install cables, lashing mounts, arms, bonds and guy wires.
- Install and maintain fiber, cable and phone equipment.
- Locate and repair issues quickly.
- Place, transfer and remove poles.
- Performs all City and D.O.T. requirements: Pre-trip, Vehicle condition report, etc.
- Responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned vehicles up to standards of appropriate levels of cleanliness.
- Completes all paperwork thoroughly for invoicing.
- Loads materials in trucks as required.
- Performs related work as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- CDL strongly preferred.
- Experience in aerial construction or telecom trade.
- Be able to operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.
- The applicant should be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Have basic knowledge and ability to operate various types of utility equipment in a safe manner.
- Have basic knowledge and ability to handle tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Have valid driver license, to operate company equipment/vehicle or be eligible and willing to acquire any needed driver"s license.
