gpac, a 30+ years recruitment company, is partnered with a well-established company in the Manufacturing and Machining industry. Our client company is looking to grow and seeking a CNC Supervisor to help further advancement. This position is MONDAY - THURDAY 5:45am- 4:40pm.
Position Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the CNC department
-Lead a team of CNC operators and machinists, providing guidance and support
- Ensure production goals are met and quality standards are maintained
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and quality control, to optimize processes and minimize downtime
- Train and coach team members on machine operation and programming techniques
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC machines and programs
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
Position Essential Job Functions:
- Utilize 5+ years of programming experience to develop efficient CNC machining programs
- Operate and program CNC machines, including 3/4/5 Axis CNC Milling, Multi-Spindle, Multi-Axis, CNC Turning, Manual Lathes, Manual Mills, CNC Swiss Machining, EDM Wire Machining, EDM Sinker Machining, and Precision Grinding
- Demonstrate team leadership skills by effectively managing and motivating a team of CNC operators and machinists
- Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Monitor machine performance, make adjustments as necessary, and perform routine maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with engineers and other departments to improve production processes and achieve cost-effective results
Position Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of CNC machines, programming, and machining processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and G-code programming
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills- Teamwork and leadership capabilities
- Attention to detail and precision
