Position Summary:
Set-up and operates one or more CNC Screw Machines to perform a series of machining operations, such as boring, threading, facing, grooving, drilling, and turning.
Essential Functions:
Set-up and operates one or more CNC Screw Machines to perform a series of machining operations, such as boring, threading, facing, grooving, drilling, and turning.
Essential Functions:
- Works from routers and standard work orders to produce parts to specifications.
- Loads bar feeders and monitors overall machine operations.
- Machines parts to specifications using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, thread go and no-go gauges.
- Receives bar stock and maintains finished goods Kanbans in the screw machine area.
Role Qualifications:
- Ability to perform machining operations, working from routers and standard work orders.
- Ability to understand oral and written communications.
- Must read blue prints and have a good mathematical background.
- Must be capable of producing first articles.
Education and Experience:
- Five (5) years experience set-up and operating CNC Swiss-Type screw machines.
Must have U.S. Person Status such as US Citizenship, or Permanent Resident (Work Permit Not Accepted due to FAA Regulations as we work on Government Parts)
Physical demands and work environment
- Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, reach with arms and hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
- Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time and an air-conditioned and heated office. The noise level is moderate. The factory floor is in the same building as the office.
$32-$35/hour DOE
2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 1:30 AM)
