CNC Operator 1st Shift - Phillips Staffing

Phillips Staffing is seeking a 1st shift CNC Operator for a high-precision, complex components manufacturer located in Spartanburg, SC! The primary responsibility of the CNC Operator is to provide quality effective parts while meeting production targets.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with previous operator in regards to machine performance and production run during shift overlap
• Operate various CNC equipment (Lathes, Mills, Grinders)
• Check and ensure proper tooling is at your work station 
• Obtain empty steel and/or plastic totes for finish product
• Forward finish product to next operation
• Produce quality components according to part drawing and quality instructions 
• Perform Daily and Weekly Preventive Maintenance per instructions 
• Ensure all proper documentation with latest revision level is at work station
• Perform SPC’s and in-process inspection, as instructed
• Record daily occurrences in Log Book
• Ensures work area is neat and orderly
• Operate your work area as specified in Work Instructions and as laid out by Department Supervisor
• Continually checking and monitoring the process at your work center in order to ensure the highest quality of each part manufactured at your station is in accordance with specifications and inspection procedures
• Comply with all applicable company policies and procedures
• Perform minor offsets and tool changes

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 education, preferred.
• Capable of trouble shooting basic problems.
• 3 years related work experience, preferred.
• Basic Math skills.
• Basic Knowledge of SPC 
• Capable of reading blueprints and gauges
• Positive attitude towards new ideas.
• Committed to Continuous Improvement.

Shift Schedule: 1st Shift, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Pay Rate: $18-20/Hour
