Responsibilities:
The position requires knowledge application in a fast-paced machining environment
You will fabricate or machine components and prototype molds and tooling
Supports new product development and various engineering projects
Identify process and equipment problems and recommend solutions
Implement solutions, collect and document data, and verify the results.
Any other tasks assigned
Requirements:
Expert mold welder with experience welding the following materials: H13, 420SS, Aluminum, BeCu, etc.
CNC programmer/CNC machine operator experience
Must be team-oriented and able to work side by side with others to complete jobs.
Must be able to write CNC programs promptly using CamWorks or Mastercam.
Must have adequate experience in creating setups/fixtures required for machining a wide variety of parts and materials
Extensive knowledge of the CNC mill (exclusively Hass VF-1) is required
Must be able to work independently to complete projects from start to finish (determine the solution, write the CNC program, set the part for machining, run the CNC using the program created, and finally, inspect the machined part to ensure it matches the desired measurements
Must be skilled in operating manual lathe, manual mill, and surface grinder.
Experience using Solid Works Design software is a plus
Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints.
Understanding of all machine tool operating cycles and controls
Knowledge and application of the theory behind material cutting and removal, machine utilization and NC/CNC controls
Excellent verbal and written skills necessary to communicate intricate job-related processes
Ability to read, interpret, and understand complex part and assembly drawings
Experience working with word processing and spreadsheet software Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
Welding Experience
Capable of standing 8-10 hours/day
Capable of lifting a maximum of 50lbs
Eyesight correctable to be able to see small objects
