CNC Machinist - Engineering Resource Group

Description

• Permanent position for a CNC machinist to operate and maintain milling machines, lathes, and grinders.
• Create precise programs that guide CNC machines in producing components.
• Responsible for set-ups and running CNC mills and lathes from written or verbal instructions.
• Responsible for machine cleaning and maintenance.
• Oversee product quality by testing first piece, in process, and final product.
• Choose tools and optimize the production process to minimize downtime.
• Responsible for service and preventive maintenance to minimize machine downtime.
• Responsible for professional handling and use of tools.
• Responsible for disposal of chips, metal clippings and used operating material.
• Responsible for ensuring that all work steps in the control center are logged on and off in real time.
• Ensure operating costs are optimized.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 1 year experience with CNC programming.
• Experience with G-code instructions.
• Experience with CNC set-up and operation for milling machines, lathes, and grinders.
• Experience with computer aided design, such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, and OT at 1.5x after 40 hours.
