About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Use MasterCAM to read, interpret and design CNC programs accurately and efficiently, within specified time frames, to needed engineering specifications.
- Create 3D models & 2D engineering drawings with computer aided software (SolidWorks); and build up BOM & specification sheet (Specs).
- Troubleshoot and design injection molds for plastic injection, then use MasterCAM to design CNC programs for machining.
- Modify / improve injection molds to eliminate malfunctions and obtain specified functional and operational performance.
- Evaluate and confirm plastic molding (e.g. injection) & metal tooling process (e.g. progressive die) according to mechanical mold design principle.
- Upload CNC programs into CNC machining center, set and adjust speeds and feeds, modify programs and CAD files as needed.
- Four plus years’ experience as a CNC programmer / operator for multi-axis machining.
- Must be proficient using SolidWorks CAD systems to design and create drawings.
- Must be proficient using Microsoft Office products.
- Able to research, understand and implement new technologies for possible cost savings and process improvements.
- Must have the ability to work independently, proactively and meet deadlines.
- Utilizes strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and present technical data, documents, information, and design specifications.
- Time management skills.
- Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are a must.
