CNC Machinist (Day Shift) - AVMATS Jet Support

Position Description

Programs and operates various machines to fabricate aerospace piece parts, components, and tools. This is not an entry level position.

Position Summary

Perform the duties required to program and operate a vast array of CNC machines, including manual and numerically controlled equipment, to fabricate aerospace piece parts, components, and tools. Machines include Mazak 5 axis, Hurco 3 axis with 4th axis rotary table vertical mills, Haas 3 axis vertical mill, Cincinnati FTV-840-3700 vertical mill, Fryer 3 axis with 4th axis rotary table vertical mill, Fryer lathes CNC, Bridgeport mills, inside and outside grinders.

Position Location and Schedule

Full-time, first-shift position at AVMATS Engine Support.

• Monday - Friday

• 7 am to 3:30 pm

• Overtime available as needed

• No nights or weekends

Required Qualifications

• CNC mill and lathe setup and operation experience.

• Ability to perform quality checks on CNC mills and CNC lathes.

• Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and work instructions.

• Must have own tools.

• Previous experience in machine shop.

• Be able to pass drug and alcohol pre-employment test and random testing throughout the year.

• Be able to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands/arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Preferred Experience or Qualifications

• Being able to think outside of the box.

• Manual Machine setup and operation.
